Trapping Trenton Peas: A Day on the Farm

Welcome, everyone, to another exciting day on the farm! Today, we are trapping Trenton peas after yesterday’s adventure with wheat. Join us as we tackle various tasks with a full team ready to get things done efficiently.

The Team in Action

Our team is in full force today, with Marty handling the drill, Dan taking over the cultivator, and Adam and John joining in the mix. Meanwhile, Tom and Travis are busy hauling, while Mike is on duty with the merger. And let’s not forget about our resident bald eagles, always a majestic sight on the farm.

Marty, the expert in straight-as-an-arrow field work, is leading the way with his precision drilling skills. We can all learn a thing or two from him as we work to finish up the 10 loads for the day.

Field Work and Machinery

As we move on to leveling out the field with sedan grass, the 30-foot Farlin hero with hydraulic capabilities comes into play. The 7410 tractor was initially on duty, but we switched to a larger one to handle the hilly terrain more effectively. It’s all about finding the right equipment for the job.

Next up, we dive into wrapping some hay bales with the help of the trusty Bobcat. With about 60 bales completed, we showcase the push control process that ensures everything is snug and secure for storage. It’s a team effort to get things done efficiently and effectively.

Wrapping Up

As the day comes to a close, we reflect on the 75 bales we’ve managed to produce, with a dry bale even making an appearance. It’s all about adapting and problem-solving on the go to ensure no bale is left behind.
