Are you looking to shed some excess weight or improve your health? Growing your own food might just be the answer! In this post, I’ll take you through my process of juicing beets from my urban garden and storing the juice for long-term use.

Preparing the beets for juicing was no easy task. I had to clean them thoroughly and ended up with almost 45 pounds of beets ready to be juiced. The deep red color of the beets was absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t wait to see how much juice they would yield.

After juicing the beets, I ended up with 14 containers of beet juice and four bags of compost. The process took me a couple of hours, but the results were well worth it. I plan to store the beet juice in my deep freezer and thaw them out as needed. Each container holds 32 ounces, which should last me a long time considering the recommended daily intake of beet juice is around 8 ounces.

I like to mix my beet juice with grapefruit and lime juice for added flavor. This combination not only tastes great but also helps stretch out the beet juice since grapefruits are quite juicy when juiced. It’s a refreshing and nutritious drink that I look forward to enjoying.
